The Calor "Village of the Year" Competition

The Parish of Wasdale has already won 170 on our being chosen as the Calor Cumbrian Village of the Year.

We now go on to the North of England Regional stage of the competition, where success would bring the Parish not only welcome publicity but potentially many hundreds of pounds in awards. The pages that are linked to below or can be downloaded as PDF documents are the written submission sent to the sponsor, Calor Gas Ltd. The format follows the requirements of Calor, who are interested not in the hanging baskets and trimmed verges, but in our community spirit and "inclusiveness".

I hope many people will take the trouble to meet the judges when they come to the old School, Nether Wasdale on Tuesday 18th October, 9.30 to 11.30am. Please come and support those who are giving "presentations" that morning
